So, how fresh are BB Joe whole coffee beans when you
receive them?
Well, in a nutshell, we don't roast your coffee until after you place your
order. When you place an order, your request arrives in our inbox for processing.
The real adventure for us actually begins at 10 am Mountain Time each day,
Sunday through Friday.
At that time, we gather all of the orders, do the necessary math, and then
begin roasting. After each batch is roasted, the beans are cooled immediately
and placed in the silos for packaging. We then package and label each order.
The following morning we mail them out and start the process all over again.
TIP: If you place your order Sunday through Friday
before 10 am Mountain Time, your beans will be roasted that same day and
sent out the next morning. If you order after 10 am, it will be processed
with the orders the following business day. Orders received after 10 am MT on
Fridays will be roasted the following Sunday and sent out on Monday.

Some handy tips to help in brewing BB
Joe:
*When you break the seal on your bag of coffee, make sure you keep your beans
stored in an air-tight container. We ship your beans out in a sealed valve bag which
has a zip-lock feature, allowing you to re-seal the bag to keep the air out and the flavor in. For longer-term storage of roasted coffee, ceramic or glass containers work the best, because plastic and metal can alter the flavor of the coffee slightly.
|
|
| *When you grind the beans and are ready to brew some BB Joe coffee, be
sure to use good water. Chlorinated tap water will seriously mess with
good coffee. :o) |
|
Packaging Coffee:
*When you receive your order of BB Joe coffee, you can be assured that it has
been packaged in the best bag possible to keep your freshly roasted beans FRESH!
We use only the best valve bags available to ship in. Each bag contains a
one-way valve in order for the CO2 gases to escape
while the natural degasing phase occurs. Having just been roasted, your beans will
continue to degas for approximately one full week.
